Roasted Butternut Squash, Sesame & Garlic Dip
Family get-together, parties and BBQs! For all of these foodie events we must of course have a selection of delicious dips.
You can enjoy the classic hummus, tangy salsa or creamy guacamole, but how about trying something tasty & new? This roasted butternut squash, sesame & garlic dip is one you just have to try! It’s perfect for dolloping on top of salads, serving with crudités or even spreading in a sandwich. Delicious.
Cooking mode
When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!
- 350g Butternut squash
- 3 Cloves of garlic
- 3 tbsp Tahini
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- ½ tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Dried herbs
- To taste Salt and pepper
Utensils

Step 1
Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius

Step 2
Chop the butternut squash into cubes, discarding the skin and seeds

Step 3
lace the butternut squash on a baking tray along with 1 tbsp olive oil, salt & pepper. Toss so the squash is well coated, then place into the oven for 15 minutes

Step 4
After 15 minutes remove the baking tray. Peel and chop the garlic cloves and place on the baking tray with the squash. Place back into the oven for a further 10 minutes

Step 5
Remove the baked squash from the oven and allow to cool slightly before transferring into your food processor

Step 6
Add the remaining ingredients for the dip into the food processor. Blend until smooth

Enjoy straight away or keep in an airtight container in the fridge to consume within 5 days
