Coffee Smoothie Bowl

Get your caffeine fix and a nutritionally dense breakfast in one with this quick and easy Coffee Smoothie Bowl. Simply pre-freeze the ingredients and make whenever it takes your fancy.

For the smoothie bowl

  • Double shot espresso (60ml)
  • 20g nut butter
  • 1-2 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla paste
  • 100g fresh banana, sliced (roughly 1 large banana)
  • 280g plant-based milk

Optional toppings

  • NADA Porridge oats
  • NADA Granola
  • NADA Mixed seeds
  • NADA Dark chocolate
  • NADA Chocolate covered coffee beans
  • NADA Fresh blueberries

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Place the hot espresso, nut butter, coconut sugar, and vanilla paste into the tub. Using a fork whisk together until combined. Add the sliced banana and top up with milk until the max fill line is reached. Stir to combine then secure the lid and freeze for 24 hours.

  • Step 2

    Once frozen, remove tub from freezer, remove lid, then place tub in outer bowl. Install paddle into outer bowl lid and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.

  • Step 3

    Select SMOOTHIE BOWL. Once the programme has finished, remove from the tub and serve immediately with any of the optional toppings listed.

    Notes:

    Looking to make this a little extra nutritionally boosted? Add a small handful of chopped spinach leaves or courgette after the banana has been added then top up with milk as instructed. Please note less milk will be required.
