Roast Beef & Roast Potatoes

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 700g topside of beef
  • 3 tbsp oil, divided
  • To taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 250ml beef stock
  • 500g King Edward potatoes, peeled and cut into 5cm even sized pieces

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Brush beef with 1 tablespoon oil, season with salt, pepper, thyme leaves and mustard powder

  • Step 2

    Add 250ml stock to bottom of pot. Push in the legs on the Cook & Crisp tray, then place the tray in the bottom position in the pot. Add the beef

  • Step 3

    Brush potatoes with 1 tablespoon oil and season with salt. Place around beef on tray

  • Step 4

    Close the lid and flip the SmartSwitch to RAPID COOKER. Select STEAM AIR FRY and set temperature to 180˚C. Set time to 45 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking (the unit will steam for approx. 8 minutes, before the countdown timer begins)

  • Step 5

    When cooking is complete, remove beef and leave to rest covered in foil

  • Step 6

    If the potatoes need to be crisper, turn potatoes over, brush with remaining oil. Close the lid and flip the SmartSwitch to AIR FRY/HOB. Select AIR FRY and set temperature to 200˚C, set time to 10 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin cooking. Check towards the end of cook time if they are brown enough
