Chocolate & Orange Marmalade Sorbet

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 450ml water
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 4 tablespoons orange marmalade
  • 45g cocoa powder
  • 120g dark chocolate, roughly chopped

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Heat water, sugar, 1 tablespoon of marmalade and the cocoa powder in small saucepan over low to medium heat until just starting to simmer. Whisk until fully combined and sugar is dissolved.

  • Step 2

    Place chopped chocolate in a bowl and pour hot mixture over the chocolate. Stir gently until chocolate is completely melted then pour mixture into the tub and place into an ice bath.  

  • Step 3

    Once cooled, place storage lid on tub and freeze for 24 hours. 

  • Step 4

    Remove tub from freezer, remove lid, then place tub in outer bowl. Install paddle into outer bowl lid and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place. 

  • Step 5

    Select SORBET.

  • Step 6

    With a spoon, create a 4cm-wide hole that reaches the bottom of the tub. Add 2 tablespoons of marmalade to the hole then process again using MIX-IN program.

  • Step 7

    Once processing is complete, remove sorbet from tub and serve immediately with a dollop of marmalade on top
