Classic Diner Style Burgers
Cooking mode
When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!
- 500g good quality minced beef
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- garlic powder, as desired, optional
- onion powder, as desired, optional
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 burger buns
Toppings (optional)
- tomato, sliced
- red onion, peeled, thinly sliced
- iceberg lettuce
- ketchup
- yellow mustard
Utensils
- 
								Step 1To install the grill plate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Place flat plate on top of grill plate so it sits flat.

								Step 2Select FLAT PLATE, set temperature to 200°C and set time to 14 minutes. Close lid and Press the dial to begin preheating, (approximately 9 minutes).

								Step 3Separate minced beef into 4 equal portions. Roughly shape the beef into flat, thin patties, approximately 12cm wide and 1cm thick.

								Step 4Season the patties on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, if using. 
- 
								Step 5When unit beeps to signify it has preheated, open lid and use a non-metal spatula to add the burgers to the flat plate. Firmly press each burger down for 5 seconds. Leave lid open while cooking.

								Step 6When unit beeps and the display reads FLIP, flip the burgers and cook for 4 minutes. 
- 
								Step 7If a more well-done burger is desired, add an additional 2–3 minutes. Add the cheese, close the lid, and cook until melted, about 2 minutes. 
- 
								Step 8When cooking is done, remove the burgers. Add the burger buns to the flat plate and toast for 2-3 minutes. Once toasted, remove the buns and build burgers with desired toppings.
