Healthy Blueberry Slushies

These Healthy Blueberry Slushies are made from fresh fruit with spirulina, sweetened with a hint of agave for a perfectly refreshing drink.

Note: If you cannot obtain malic acid, use the juice of half a lemon until you achieve the desired level of sour

Utensils required


  • 2 cups frozen blueberries
  • 2-3 tbsp light agave nectar/maple syrup
  • 2 tsp blue spirulina (or regular spirulina)
  • 1/2 tsp malic acid
  • 3 cups ice

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!


  • Step 1

    Place the blueberries, agave, blue spirulina, and malic acid into your Ninja jug. Select the ‘Puree’ setting and blend until smooth

  • Step 2

    Add the ice and select ‘Frozen Drinks’. Stop mid way to push down the ice at the sides and resume the setting. Blend again until you achieve the texture you’re looking for

  • Step 3

    Pour into glasses and enjoy!
