Hot Cauliflower Wings

Cooking mode

For the wings

  • 1/2 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup of flour, you can use gluten free flour
  • 1 1/2 cup of coconut milk
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1/3 tsp harrisa powder
  • salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

For the sauce

  • 1 cup of bbq sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet and sour sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (optional)

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Start by chopping cauliflower to smaller florets. 

  • Step 2

    Prepare the batter by placing in the bowl; coconut milk, spices, salt & pepper and flour. Mix until everything is well incorporated.

  • Step 3

    Preheat your ninja electric grill on air frying mode to 200C.

  • Step 4

    Coat each cauliflower floret in the batter.  Shake off the excess of the batter. 

  • Step 5

    Place them in the air fryer cooking basket, don’t place them to close together, as they will stick. 

  • Step 6

    Once that’s done, set the time to 10 min. Shake the florets half way the time, make sure they crisp evenly on both sides. 

  • Step 7

    Make the sauce by placing all ingredients in the small pot. Cook for 5-7 min on a medium heat steering. The sauce should thicken a bit. 

  • Step 8

    Coat each baked cauliflower florets in the sauce. 

  • Step 9

    Serve hot.
