Hot Spiced Apple & Carrot Juice

Cold-pressed apple, carrot, and ginger juice warmed and infused with winter herbs and spices for a nutrient-rich, flavoursome drink. Perfect for those chilly nights.

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 6 red apples (cored, cut into 8 wedges)
  • 2 green apples (cored, cut into 8 wedges)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 star anise
  • 8 black peppercorns
  • 4 allspice berries
  • 4 juniper berries
  • 4 cloves
  • 1.5 tsp cardamom seeds
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • 3 medium carrots (cut into 5cm chunks)
  • 1-2 inches fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Freshly grated nutmeg

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Attach the fine mesh filter to the auger and assemble the unit. Place the juice and pulp jugs in place. Select START/STOP and feed the apples into the feed chute, pressing with the tamp as you go along. Juice all of the apples, then leave the machine running for a few minutes until all of the juice has been pushed through.

  • Step 2

    Place the juice in a small saucepan together with all the spices, cover with a lid. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave to steep for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Whilst the juice is steeping juice the carrots and ginger in the machine.

  • Step 4

    Strain the spiced apple juice using a fine-mesh sieve. Pour the carrot and ginger juice into the warm apple juice. Sprinkle some ground cinnamon and freshly grated nutmeg on top before serving.

    Notes:

    Juice is best served immediately but can be bottled and served the next day.

    For a frothier drink blend in a high speed blender for 5 minutes before serving.
