Indian Chicken Tikka Skewers

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 1lb Boneless Chicken Thighs, cut into chunks

For the 1st marinade

  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder or 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala Powder (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice

For the 2nd marinade

  • 4 tbsp Plain Yoghurt
  • 1 tbsp Tandoori Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil (to brush)

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Soak Skewers for 45 minutes before using.

  • Step 2

    Add Chicken Breast to a large bowl with all the ingredients for the first marinade. Set aside for 20
    minutes.

  • Step 3

    Then add the second marinade, mixing thoroughly with your hands. Leave for 30 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Meanwhile preheat the Grill to medium and set timer to 7 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Thread Chicken onto skewers and brush all over with oil.

  • Step 6

    Once the grill is ready, add the skewers in batches and cook for 12 minutes, flipping mid way.

  • Step 7

    Check and cook for longer if needed.
