Joojeh Kebabs
Succulent and delicious Persian inspired Chicken Kebabs with saffron, onion, garlic and lemon.

For the saffron water
- 5 tbsp Water (Hot)
- Few strands Saffron
For the chicken
- 1.5 lb boneless Chicken Thighs, cut into 1 inch chunks
- 1.5 tbsp Saffron Water
- 3/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1.5 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 tbsp Plain Yoghurt
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1.5 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1/2 small Onion, grated
For the baste
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1.5 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1.5 tbsp Saffron Water from above
- Pinch black pepper
Utensils

Step 1
Add Water to a cup and then add Saffron strands and set aside for 5 minutes.

Marinade chicken in all the ingredients listed under chicken and set aside for 30 minutes.

Soak skewers for 30 minutes and cut to size so they fit into the Foodi.

Melt the butter for the baste and whisk in remaining ingredients.

Meanwhile preheat the Grill to medium and set timer to 7 minutes.

Thread Chicken onto skewers and brush all over with oilOnce the grill is ready, add the skewers in batches and cook for 12 minutes, flipping mid way. Check and cook for longer if needed.
