Slow Cooked Lamb Tikka Masala

This slow cooked lamb tikka masala is full of authentic flavours using store cupboard ingredients. It’s fuss free and perfect for making for people whilst spending very little time in the kitchen!

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 350g diced lamb
  • 4 tbsp full fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 brown onion, finely diced
  • 1 red chilli, sliced
  • 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 400g tin coconut milk
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp garlic puree
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • For garnishing chopped fresh coriander
  • To serve rice or naan bread

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Into a mixing bowl add 1x Tbsp Garam Masala, 1 Tsp Ground Cumin, ½ Tsp of Ground Coriander and salt, followed by the Greek Yoghurt and then combine the ingredients

  • Step 2

    Add in the Lamb chunks and mix well. Leave this to marinade for a minimum of 1 hour or longer if possible. Doing this in advance will enhance the flavours

  • Step 3

    To start your curry sauce, use the SAUTE function on the Ninja Foodi SmartLid Multi-cooker (high heat setting) heat the olive oil and sauté the onions until they are softened/slightly browned

  • Step 4

    Add in the sliced red chilli and chilli flakes and continue to sauté for another 2 minutes

  • Step 5

    Add in the Garlic Puree and Ground Ginger and heat for a further minute

  • Step 6

    Then add in the chopped tomatoes and coconut milk and bring to a simmer

  • Step 7

    Once simmering add in the Lamb and yoghurt marinade and combine well

  • Step 8

    Once combined, close the lid and switch to the Slow Cooking function on your Ninja Foodi SmartLid Multi-cooker and set it to a high heat for 3 hours

  • Step 9

    Leave your curry to slow cook for this time stirring occasionally

  • Step 10

    After this time your curry sauce should be thick and a rich orange colour

  • Step 11

    Serve with your curry garnished with Coriander and your choice of side, such as rice or naan bread
