Rinse and soak chestnuts for10 minutes.
Step 2
On a chopping board, placethe chestnutsflat-side down.With a sharp knife, cut a cross in the top of each chestnut, careful to not cut through to the flesh. Transfer the chestnuts cut side up in theCrisperBasket.
Step 3
To install the grill plate, position it flat on top of the heating element and gently press down until it sits into place. Place Crisper Basketon grill, then close lid.
Step 4
While holding the smokebox lid open, use the pellet scoop to pour pellets into the smoke box until filled to the top. Then close smoke box lid.
Step 5
Turn dial to SMOKER. Set temperature to 170°C and set time to15 minutes.SelectSTART/STOP to begin cooking.
Step 6
When cooking is complete, leave nuts in unit for 10 minutes with lid closed before removing basket. Serve warm or peeled to use in recipes.
