Utensils
-
Step 1
Begin by placing the large onion chunks into the ninja and blending for a few seconds until they’re finely diced.
-
Step 2
Add the ground flaxseed and garlic and blend again for a couple of seconds.
-
Step 3
Next empty into a bowl and add the vegan mince and using a fork or your hands combine the ingredients together.
-
Step 4
Split into two and take one half and flatten it in your hand. Place half (25g) of the feta on top and then fold the mince around it covering it completely.
-
Step 5
Place onto a lined baking tray and then repeat with the other burger. Put the tray into the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes (overnight is also fine).
-
Step 6
When ready to cook preheat oven to 180c and also heat a pan on a medium heat and add a glug of your choice of oil.
-
Step 7
Once the oil is hot place the burgers in the pan and cook for a couple of minutes on each side and then sear on the sides of the burgers for a few seconds using tongs to hold the burger up.
-
Step 8
When the burgers are seared all the way round place them back onto the baking tray and into the oven for 15-20 minutes until completely cooked through.
-
Step 9
Stack in between the burger buns along with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, cheese slice and avocado. Devour!
