Vegetarian Szeged goulash with mushrooms

  • 2 onions
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Caraway seeds
  • paprika powder
  • 750 ml vegetable broth
  • 400 g potatoes
  • salt, pepper
  • bay leaves
  • 400 g fresh sauerkraut
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • marjoram
  • chopped parsley

  • Step 1

    Dice the onions and sauté in the Ninja ZEROSTICK Sautè Pan with oil. Do mushrooms in half and fry. Add tomato paste and. Add cumin and paprika powder and fry briefly.
    Deglaze with a sip of white wine and let it evaporate.

  • Step 2

    Then deglaze with the vegetable broth and fill up. Peel the potatoes, cut into walnut-sized cubes, and add to the pot.

  • Step 3

    Add salt, pepper, and bay leaves. Simmer for about 20 minutes until potatoes are cooked. Add sauerkraut and simmer for ten minutes.

  • Step 4

    Just before serving, add sour cream and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
