Grilled Balsamic Grapes

These Grilled Balsamic Grapes are perfect served as a dessert with ice cream or crème fraîche or as a savoury appetiser with burrata and toasted ciabatta.

Cooking mode

  • 125ml olive oil
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 x 500g punnet black grapes, washed and dried
  • Crème fraîche or ice cream for serving

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar and sea salt. Add grapes and toss until coated, marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Whilst the grapes are marinating, place the grill plate on the unit. Close the lid. Turn the dial to set temperature to 200°C. Set an external timer to 7 minutes and allow the grill plate to preheat.

  • Step 3

    Using tongs, place grapes onto the centre of the grill. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes. Turn and grill for another 1 to 2 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Return the grilled grapes to the marinade and leave to cool for at least 10 minutes, Be sure to coat them periodically in the marinade.

  • Step 5

    Cut the grapes into smaller bunches if needed and serve with ice cream or crème fraîche.
