Elfshake
Looking for a fun drink for the kiddos at Christmas? Look no further than the Elfshake! A mint choc chip ice cream milkshake with a layer of maraschino cherry puree for an incredibly festive flavour explosion. Top with whipped cream and your favourite sprinkles. Suitable for those on a vegan or gluten-free diet.
TIP: If serving one use a large highball glass if serving 2 use 2 x 250ml capacity glasses.
To make this boozy add 60ml of creme de menthe or 30ml creme de cacao blanc and 30ml creme de menthe to milk when blending.

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!
For the shake
- 225g jar of maraschino (cocktail) cherries
- 200g plant-based mint choc chip ice cream, softened
- 130ml plant-based milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Green gel food colouring, as desired
- 60g ice cubes
Optional toppings:
- Whipped cream (or vegan equivalent)
- Mini candy canes (crushed and/or whole)
- Christmas themed sprinkles
- Stemmed maraschino cherries

Step 1
Turn the blender ON by holding the power button.

Unscrew the lid from the vessel and add all the maraschino cherries and liquid. Secure the lid back on the vessel.

To blend, double-click the Blend Button. When blending is complete, hold the power button to turn the unit off. Repeat blending process if necessary.

Step 4
Spoon 1/4-1/2 cherry mix to bottom of glass per person. Alternatively you can create layer of cherry and milkshake if you prefer. The remaining cherry mix can be stored in the original jar as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

Rinse out the blender and add the ice cream, milk, vanilla and green gel food colouring, if using. Repeat the blending process.

Now add ice and blend until smooth. Pour over the maraschino cherry mix then top with optional toppings if desired and enjoy.
