Gingerbread Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake

This Gingerbread Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake is a fun way to get into the festive spirit. Perfect for little ones and big ones alike!

Milk, ice cream, gingerbread men, marshmallows and whipped cream are all available in gluten-free and vegan/plant-based alternatives and work well in this recipe.

For a caffeinated kick add 60ml of chilled strong espresso or for something a little boozy, a shot of coffee/chocolate coffee liqueur.

Ingredients

For the milkshake

  • 100g plant-based vanilla ice cream
  • 100ml plant-based milk
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp blackstrap molasses
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 2 toasted vegan marshmallows

Toppings

  • Agave nectar
  • Mini gingerbread men, crushed and whole
  • Whipped Cream
  • A sprinkle of ground ginger and cinnamon
  • Toasted marshmallows

Method

  • Step 1

    Take a highball glass, or 2 smaller glasses, and dip the rim(s) in agave nectar then dip and gently roll in a plate of crushed gingerbread men crumbs. Set glass(es) to one side.

  • Step 2

    Turn the blender ON by holding the power button.

  • Step 3

    Unscrew the lid from the vessel and add ingredients in the order listed, except for the toasted marshmallows. Secure the lid back on the vessel.

  • Step 4

    To blend, double-click the Blend Button.

  • Step 5

    When blending is complete, open lid and add the marshmallows. Blend again. When blending is complete, hold the power button to turn the unit off.

  • Step 6

    Transfer to rimmed glass, top with whipped cream, sprinkle of ground ginger and cinnamon, crushed gingerbread men, whole gingerbead men and toasted marshmallows. Serve immediately.
