Step 1
Start by slicing the bananas lengthwise on between the stem and end of the fruit. Be sure to keep the skin underneath intact.
-
Step 2
Insert the grill plate then select GRILL, LO, and set the time to 10 minutes. Select START/STOP and let the unit-pre-heat.
-
Step 3
Whislt the unit is pre-heating, mix together the coconut sugar, butter, and almond extract together into a smooth paste then divide evenly, spreading on the inside of the bananas.
-
Step 4
When the unit beeps and displays the ADD FOOD prompt, open the lid and spray the grill plate with cooking spray. Using silicone tongs lay the bananas down on their sides then close the lid.
-
Step 5
When the unit prompts to flip at 5 minutes, open the lid and flip the bananas using the tongs. Once cooking is complete open the lid and remove the bananas, leaving to cool on a plate for 5 minutes.
-
Step 6
Whilst the bananas are cooling, place the dark chocolate and coconut oil into a small microwaveable bowl then microwave in 10 seconds burts, stirring between each one, until just melted.
-
Step 7
Place the bananas into a serving dish then open out the skin a little and top with ice cream, whipped cream, chopped nuts, maraschino cherries, and the chocolate drizzle. Enjoy!
