Method

  • Step 1

Place reversible rack in pot, making sure rack is in higher position in the Foodi. Place kase wurst on rack. Use grill setting and set timer for 10 minutes.

  • Step 2

Check after about 6 minutes to see if the wurst is browned on the outside. Use plastic tongs to turn sausage until brown on all sides. Remove sausage when it is brown.

  • Step 3

After wurst has cooled, cut into inch size pieces.

  • Step 4

Select SEAR/SAUTE and set to MD-HI. Press START/STOP and allow to preheat for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5

After 5 minutes, place the butter, onions and garlic into the cooking pot and sauté for 7-10 minutes.

  • Step 6

Add wine, tomato sauce, paprika, cloves, curry paste, tomato paste, and the cut wurst into the cooking pot.

  • Step 7

Assemble the pressure lid, making sure the pressure release valve is in the SEAL position. Select PRESSURE and set to HIGH. Set time to 7 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

  • Step 8

When pressure cooking is complete, allow pressure to natural release for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, quick release remaining pressure by moving the pressure release valve to the VENT position. Carefully remove lid when unit has finished releasing pressure.

  • Step 9

Serve kase wurst in a bowl topped with curry powder. Enjoy!
