Middle Eastern Goulash

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 1kg beef (cut into cubes)
  • Handful cherry tomatoes
  • 1-2 white onions
  • 2-4 garlic cloves
  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • Handful dried apricots
  • 2 tsp ras-el-hanout
  • pepper & salt
  • oil to cook
  • coriander
  • cous cous

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Select SEAR/SAUTE and set to MD:HI. Select START/STOP to heat the oil, add cherry tomatoes shortly and place aside. Add the beef and brown for a few minutes.

  • Step 2

    Chop the onions and garlic and add to the pot with the fine grounded ginger. Add Ras-El-Hanout and the dried apricots. Add water to cover all the ingredients.

  • Step 3

    Use the pressure lid and make sure the pressure release valve is in the SEAL position. Select pressure, set to HI and time to 25 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin. 

  • Step 4

    In the meantime cook the butter cous cous. Peel the sweet potato and cut in cubes.

  • Step 5

    When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure by moving the pressure release valve to the VENT position. Carefully remove lid when unit has finished releasing pressure. Add the sweet potato, season with pepper and salt and place the pressure lid again to the unit.  Select pressure, set to HI and time to 8 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin.

    When pressure cooking is completed, serve the gulash with the tomatoes, corinader and cous cous
