Batata Khees (Peanut Potatoes)

Batata Khees (Peanut Potatoes)


  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 6 medium potatoes (peeled and sliced into thin slices)
  • 2 green chillies (split in the middle and de-seeded)
  • 3 tsp cumin seeds
  • 4 tbsp crushed peanuts
  • salt
  • To garnish coriander

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!


  • Step 1

    Put the Ninja Foodi Multicooker on the Saute/Sear settings with the temperature set to Medium. Press Start/Stop to begin

  • Step 2

    Wait for 5 minutes for it to heat up and then put in the oil and wait for it to splutter

  • Step 3

    Throw in the chillies and fry until they splutter and the oil is infused with the chillies

  • Step 4

    Add in the crushed peanuts and lightly fry them for a minute. Add in the cumin seeds and fry for 30 seconds

  • Step 5

    Put in the potatoes and salt, and stir until all ingredients are mixed nicely

  • Step 6

    Assemble the pressure cooker lid and set pressure release valve to Vent

  • Step 7

    Monitor for 4 minutes and then switch off the Ninja Foodi Multicooker

  • Step 8

    Open the lid after 5 minutes, serve and garnish with coriander
