Beef & Broccoli

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 90ml sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tsp crushed chillies (optional)
  • 500g uncooked sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 300ml teriyaki sauce or marinade, divided
  • 1 head of broccoli (250g), cut in 2cm florets
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Utensils

  • Step 1

    In a large mixing bowl, mix together garlic powder, sweet soy sauce, crushed chillies, steak and half of the marinade. Let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours. After marinating, strain beef and discard excess marinade.

  • Step 2

    In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli with the vegetable oil, salt and pepper.

  • Step 3

    Remove the crisper plate from the basket. Preheat the unit by selecting ROAST, setting the temperature to 190°C and setting the time to 5 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

  • Step 4

    After 5 minutes, add the water and broccoli to the pan; reinsert pan. Select ROAST, set temperature to 190°C, and set time to 11 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin.

  • Step 5

    After 6 minutes, remove the pan. Add beef on top of the broccoli and resume cooking.

  • Step 6

    Cook the beef and broccoli for another 5 minutes, rotating once after 2 minutes and another time after 4 minutes.

  • Step 7

    When cooking is complete, serve immediately with additional teriyaki sauce and steamed rice.
