Caramelized Apple & Vanilla Tea Slushie
Tip: Serve in pretty glasses topped with finely diced fresh apple and a grating of lemon zest.

- 1 large green apple, halved
- 30g icing sugar
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 450ml water
- 1 tea bag (preferably black tea)

Step 1
Dice one half of apple, slice the other into 5mm pieces.

Melt sugar in the saucepan over medium heat, swirling gently until sugar is completely caramelised. Add diced apple, lemon zest and juice, and vanilla. Cook for 1–2 minutes.

Gently stir water into apple mixture and cook for 8 minutes, or until mixture comes to the boil. Remove saucepan from heat, add tea bag and leave to infuse for 5 minutes.

Remove tea bag, pour mixture into the tub and add sliced apple. Place tub into an ice bath. Once cooled, place storage lid on top then freeze for 8 hours.

Remove tub from freezer and remove lid from tub. Place tub in outer bowl, install paddle onto outer bowl lid, and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.

Select SLUSH.

Once processing is complete, remove slushie from tub and serve immediately.
