Chicken in paprika sauce with mushrooms and peas

- 500 g chicken breast
- 3 red pointed peppers
- 1 onion
- 100 g Ajvar mild
- 400 ml chicken stock / broth
- 100 ml cooking cream
- NADA olive oil
- NADA salt, pepper
- 400g brown mushrooms, quartered
- 150g frozen peas, defrosted
- NADA some chopped parsley
- NADA

Step 1
Peel and chop the onion. Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds and cut into small pieces. Dab the chicken breast dry and cut into narrow strips.

Heat some oil in a pan. Fry the chicken meat in it in portions. Season with salt and pepper. Then remove from the pan and keep warm.

Sauté the quartered mushrooms in a little olive oil and then remove them. Add a little more oil to the pan if needed. Add the onion pieces and sauté lightly. Now add the bell pepper pieces as well and sauté together for about 5 minutes.

Add the ajvar and mix well. Deglaze with vegetable broth and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes. Then stir in cream and then puree until smooth.

Now add the meat, mushrooms, and peas back to the sauce in the pan. Bring to a boil once and mix in chopped parsley. Season to taste. I served it with basmati rice.
