Chocolate Orange Protein Flapjack Bars

A super easy and simple protein bar recipe that can be made in batches as a pre or post workout treat. They are rich in orange flavour from the orange extract and low in calories because of the elimination of any oils in the recipe. Peanut butter in the recipe is optional.

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 90g mushed ripe banana
  • 75g oats
  • 70g chocolate whey protein
  • 10g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 75ml maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp orange extract
  • 1-2 tbsp peanut butter (optional)

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Using the bowl of your Ninja Kitchen system and the dough blade, simply add all of the ingredients and select low for 1-2 minutes to allow all of the ingredients to thoroughly combine together.

  • Step 2

    Pre-heat your Ninja Foodi Flip Oven at 180C degrees (if you are using a conventional oven pre-heat the oven at the beginning).

  • Step 3

    Place and press the oat mixture tightly in a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and place In the oven and bake for approximately 18-22 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Allow it to cool and then slice into squares and drizzle with peanut butter (optional).
