Date Caramel Chocolate Flapjack Bars
Cooking mode
When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!
- 200g oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp nut butter
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 flax egg
- 2 tbsp oat milk
- 75g dark chocolate chunks
For the date caramel
- 100g dates, soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes
- 1 tbsp nut butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup

Step 1
Place the oats, cinnamon, nut butter, syrup, egg and milk into your Ninja Kitchen food processor and whizz up until the mixture comes together.

Tip into a greased and lined 9x9in baking tin and spread out evenly. Add the soaked dates into your Ninja Kitchen food processor along with 2-3 tablespoons of the water, along with the nut butter and syrup. Blend until mostly smooth.

Dot this over the top then use a knife to swirl around. Scatter over the chocolate chunks.

Bake at 180C for 25 minutes until golden then leave to cool for 15 minutes. Cut into bars while still in the tin, then leave to cool completely- then enjoy.
