Utensils
Step 1
To install the grill plate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Place flat plate on top of grill plate so it sits level. Select FLAT PLATE, set temperature to 200°C and set time to 8 minutes. Close the lid and press dial to begin preheating, (will take approximately 8 minutes).
Step 2
While unit is preheating, in a shallow flat dish, whisk eggs, milk, and cinnamon together. Lay bread in egg mixture, leave to soak for 2-3 minutes, turnover and leave to soak for another 2 minutes.
Step 3
When unit beeps to signify it has preheated, open lid and melt butter onto the flat plate. Use a silicone spatula to evenly spread the butter across the surface.
Step 4
Place bread slices into butter. Leave lid open to cook. Cook for about 4 minutes, then flip bread over and cook for a further 4 minutes.
Step 5
When cooking is complete, serve with fresh berries, syrup and a dusting of icing sugar.
