Gluten-Free Pigs in Blankets Pizza
Get in the festive spirit with this delightfully delicious Gluten-Free Pigs in Blankets Pizza. A twist on the classic pizza but with a festive kick – cranberry sauce, roasting herbs, and veggie pigs in blankets make this pizza a fun, but quick and easy dinner to make when you’ve got presents to wrap!
If the sausages are very small, use 8 and increase rashers and sage leaves to 8 also. Cheese can be substituted for vegan alternatives.

For the pigs in blankets
- 5 mini vegan/veggie sausages
- 5 sage leaves
- 5 rashers vegan/veggie bacon
For the pizza
- 1 x 150g gluten-free pizza base
- 3-4 tbsp pizza sauce
- 3 tbsp cranberry sauce or cheeseboard chutney, divided
- 1/4 red onion, peeled and finely sliced (optional)
- 1/2 tsp pizza herbs
- 3 fresh sage leaves, finely sliced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 75g grated pizza cheese (mozzarella and cheddar mix)
- 75g buffalo mozzarella, torn into chunks or sliced
Utensils

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190°C.

Step 2
Wrap a mini sausage in a sage leaf followed by a rasher of veggie bacon. Place on a plate and set to one side.

Place the pizza base onto the pizza tray then spread pizza sauce evenly. Dot half of the cranberry sauce over the top. Scatter the red onion (if using) followed by a sprinkle of pizza herbs, and the fresh sage and rosemary.

Distribute the cheeses evenly then add the prepared pigs in blankets followed by the remaining cranberry sauce.

Place tray into oven on middle shelf and bake for 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and leave to cool for a few minutes before transferring to a chopping board, slicing and serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
