Masala Prawns

Creamy Prawn curry made with coconut cream and yoghurt making for a rich, deliciously luxurious dinner which is best served with Naan.

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 small onions, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 200g plum tomatoes, pureed (from a tin)
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • salt
  • 200g jumbo king prawns
  • 160g coconut cream
  • 2 tbsp natural yoghurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Heat the Ninja Foodi in Saute mode.

  • Step 2

    Add Oil and once hot, add Mustard Seeds.

  • Step 3

    Once they pop, add Onion and saute for 5 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Add Garlic and saute for 1 minute.

  • Step 5

    Stir in Tomatoes.

  • Step 6

    Add Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder, Coriander powder and Salt.

  • Step 7

    Add Prawns and Coconut Cream.

  • Step 8

    Close the lid and select Manual.

  • Step 9

    Cook on high for 5 minutes.

  • Step 10

    Do a quick release.

  • Step 11

    Stir in the Yoghurt and select Saute.

  • Step 12

    Simmer for a minute.

  • Step 13

    Squeeze over the Lemon Juice and serve hot with Naan.
