Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 2 egg whites
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100g caster sugar

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 100°C. 

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl, add egg whites and salt. Attach the hand mixer attachment to the power base then assemble the whisk. Select power and press the up arrow and mix starting on speed 1 slowly increasing to speed 5 until soft peaks have formed. 

  • Step 3

    Gradually add the caster sugar, one tablespoon at a time until the sugar has dissolved. Repeat until all the sugar has been added. 

  • Step 4

    Continue to beat, for another 2 minutes until the mixture becomes glossy, shiny and all sugar has dissolved. 

  • Step 5

    Spoon or pipe (approximately 2 teaspoons each) meringue mix onto a baking sheet lined with baking parchment. 

  • Step 6

    Place in the oven and bake for 1½ hours
