Pressure Cooker Boba Tea

This Pressure Cooker Boba Tea, also known as Bubble Tea, is ready in a matter of minutes. A cold matcha latte poured over sweet chewy boba pearls. Perfect as a refreshing summer alternative to iced tea.

Ingredients

  • 155g boba pearls
  • 500ml cold water
  • 1 tsp vanilla paste (divided)
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 600ml cashew milk
  • 200ml cold water
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 2 tsp ceremonial grade matcha
  • 1 cup of ice cubes (optional)

Method

  • Step 1

    Add the boba pearls, cold water, and 1/2 tsp vanilla paste to the cooking pot. Select PRESSURE, HI, 2 minutes and START/STOP. Once cooking is complete carefully manually release the pressure.

  • Step 2

    Drain the pearls in a colander then rinse with warm water. Place the pearls into a bowl and stir in the maple syrup.

  • Step 3

    Add the remaining 1/2 tsp vanilla paste and tea ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until combined.

  • Step 4

    Divide the boba equally between 4 highball glasses, and ice cubes if you wish, then pour over the tea and serve immediately.

    Notes:

    Look for tapioca pears that state they are ‘instant’ or ‘ready in 5 minutes’.
