Quark Cheese Dumplings with Apple Puree

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 250g quark cheese (low fat)
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp semolina
  • A dash lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • oil

For the apple puree

  • 1kg apples
  • 100ml water
  • 1/2 juice of lemon
  • sugar (optional)

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Add all the ingredients for the dough to the blender and mix till combined. Let it chill for 30 minutes in the fridge. Prepare the apple puree in the meanwhile.  

  • Step 2

    Peel the apples (optional use with peel) and slice into little pieces. Combine in a bowl with lemon juice.  

  • Step 3

    Select SEAR/SAUTE and set to MD:HI. Select START/STOP and add the water and the apples to the pot of the multi-cooker. Add the pressure lid, Select PRESSURE set to HI and time to 8 minutes. Press START/STOP to begin.   

  • Step 4

    When pressure cooking is complete, quick release the pressure by moving the pressure release valve to the VENT position.   

  • Step 5

    Optional: Puree the apples in the blender or serve as it is.  

  • Step 6

    In the meanwhile, get the dough out of the fridge. Heat the oil in a pan and add the dough by tablespoons. Brown from both sides and serve with apple puree.
