Shakshuka with green pepper

Cooking mode

  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 red pointed peppers
  • 1 yellow pointed pepper
  • 2 green peppers
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) chopped tomatoes
  • or 400g fresh tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • Some cumin
  • Pinch salt, pepper
  • 4 -6 eggs
  • NADA 2-3 stalk(s) cilantro or parsley
  • 1 avocado

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Peel onion, garlic and cut into fine strips. Clean bell bell pepper, wash, cut into strips. Heat oil in the Ninja ZEROSTICK Saute pan with a lid. Stir-fry onion and bell bell pepper in it over medium heat for about 5 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Add tomatoes, chili, cumin and stir in. Simmer until thick, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Season to taste with salt and pepper .

  • Step 3

    Using a tablespoon, press 4 -6 wells into the sugo. Crack eggs one at a time into a small bowl, carefully slide into the sugo wells. Cover halfway and cook over low heat until eggs are slightly set, about 6 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Season again with salt and pepper to serve. Coarsely chop cilantro (or parsley) leaves, sprinkle on top.

  • Step 5

    As a topping, a ripe avocado is suitable, but not a must. Serve with baguette or dark bread
