These Turkish Crisp Filo Pastry Rolls with Feta make for a delicious starter or side.

Cooking mode

When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!

  • 350g Feta, crumbled
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 Spring Onions, finely sliced
  • 2 tbsp Parsley leave, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Aleppo pepper or Red Pepper Flakes
  • 450g Filo DoughWater (To seal Borek)
  • Spray Oil

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Combine Feta, Eggs, Spring Onions, Parsley and Pepper in a bowl and mix together.

  • Step 2

    Roll out the Filo sheets and cover with a damp dish towel.

  • Step 3

    Place one sheet of Filo on your work surface with the horizontal side facing you.

  • Step 4

    Cut vertically, into 2 or 3 strips deepening on the length of the sheet.

  • Step 5

    Put about 1 tbsp of the Feta mixture towards the end of a strip, making sure you leave a 1 inch border around the edge.

  • Step 6

    Fold the 2 long sides of the Filo over to meet in the middle.

  • Step 7

    Now roll the filo over the filling horizontally upwards into a long roll.

  • Step 8

    Use a finger to wet the end of the filo and then close the roll.

  • Step 9

    Repeat with the other Rolls.

  • Step 10

    Repeat the process until you use up your filling.

  • Step 11

    Set the air fryer to 200C.Place 6 – 7 Boreks in the air fryer at a time.

  • Step 12

    Spray with oil.

  • Step 13

    Cook for 5 – 8 minutes.
