Tofu Gyros

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp gyros seasoning
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 2 x 200g portions firm tofu, pressed and patted dry
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 8 small flatbreads or wraps, to serve
  • salad, to serve


  • 1 cucumber, grated
  • 6 mint leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 200g Greek yoghurt
  • squeeze of lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Cooking mode

  • Step 1

    Mix olive oil, gyros seasoning, garlic and salt and pepper in a large bowl.

  • Step 2

    Thinly slice tofu and add to the gyros marinade along with sliced onion. Mix to coat in the flavours, then cover and place in refrigerator for 2 hours to marinate.

  • Step 3

    Insert grill plate in the unit. Place flat plate on top of grill plate so it sits flat and close lid. Select FLAT PLATE, set temperature to 200°C and set time to 14 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating.

  • Step 4

    While unit preheats, mix the tzatziki ingredients together in a medium bowl until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Step 5

    When the unit beeps to signify it has preheated, place tofu and onions on flat plate. Close lid and cook for 7 minutes.

  • Step 6

    After 7 minutes, use silicone tongs to turn tofu slices. Close lid to continue cooking.

  • Step 7

    Once cooking is complete, serve the tofu and onion on flatbreads or in wraps with salad and tzatziki.
