Greek Style Prawn Kebabs

Cooking mode

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 fresh red chilli, finely chopped (reserve half for garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 330g fresh king prawns
  • 8 pitta breads
  • 200g fresh tzatziki

Utensils

  • Step 1

    To install the grill plate, slide it into the front of the base so it hooks in, then press down on the back until it clicks into place. Close the lid.

  • Step 2

    elect GRILL, set temperature to HI, and set time to 5 minutes. Press the dial to begin preheating, (approximately 6 minutes).

  • Step 3

    Mix lemon juice, garlic, oil, salt and chilli. Pat prawns dry and toss well in the marinade.

  • Step 4

    Thread prawns evenly onto 12 wooden skewers.

  • Step 5

    When the unit has beeped to signify it has preheated, open lid and place the skewers on the grill plate. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes. Depending on the size of the prawns, they may be cooked in less than five minutes. Use silicone tipped tongs to flip halfway through cooking.

  • Step 6

    Arrange 4 plates with a quarter of the tzatziki spooned onto each. Place 3 skewers on each plate and serve immediately with warmed pitta breads.

  • Step 7

    TIP For a colourful vegetarian version substitute prawns for 3cm cubes of halloumi and bell peppers.
