OXO Chinese Pork Steaks with Asian Slaw

Cooking mode

  • 4 x 200 pork steaks
  • 1 jar OXO Chinese Marinade, divided
  • 2 carrots, peeled, grated
  • ½ white cabbage, shredded
  • ½ red onion, peeled, finely sliced
  • 1 red pepper, deseeded, sliced
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp OXO Chinese Marinade
  • Zest of 1 lime (optional)

Utensils

  • Step 1

    In a large bowl, cover the pork steaks with 170g OXO Chinese Marinade (reserving the 2 tablespoons for the slaw dressing). Allow steaks to marinate for 10 minutes.​ 

  • Step 2

    To install the grill plate, position it flat on top of the heating element and gently press down until it sits in place, then close the lid.  

  • Step 3

    Turn dial to GRILL, set the temperature to HI and set the time to 18 minutes. Select START/STOP to begin preheating (preheating will take approx. 8 minutes). 

  • Step 4

    When the unit beeps to signify it has preheated and ADD FOOD is displayed, place the marinated pork steaks on grill plate. Close lid to begin cooking.  

  • Step 5

    When the unit beeps and displays FLIP, open the lid and flip the pork. Close lid to continue cooking.  

  • Step 6

    Cooking is complete when pork reads 75°C on an instant read thermometer. When cooking is complete, remove steaks from grill.  

  • Step 7

    In a large bowl, mix all remaining ingredients together to make the Asian slaw. Serve the pork steaks with the slaw.
