Beef Tinga
Cooking mode
When entering cooking mode - We will enable your screen to stay ‘always on’ to avoid any unnecessary interruptions whilst you cook!
- 1.3kg silverside
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 medium onions, peeled, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled, crushed
- 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
- 4 tbsp chipotle chilli sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt, as desired
- Ground black pepper, as desired
- Wraps, to serve
- Salsa, to serve

Step 1
Season beef with cumin, cinnamon and season to taste.

Add to pot, onions, garlic, chopped tomatoes, chipotle chilli sauce, bay leaves, and season as desired. Add beef and spoon sauce over beef to fully cover. Cover with the lid.

Turn dial to SLOW COOK, set temperature to LO, set time to 8 hours, and press START/STOP to begin cooking.

Check beef at the end of cooking to see if it’s tender enough to shred, if not, turn beef over and carry-on cooking for another hour.

When cooking is complete, remove bay leaves and beef onto a board. Using two forks, shred. Place back beef into sauce and serve hot in wraps and salsa.
