Cooking mode

For the base

  • 200g oats
  • 50g walnuts, pecans and/or hazelnuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 75g dates, soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes
  • 3 tbsp nut butter
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil, melted

For the filling

  • 75g stewed apples
  • 150g mincemeat
  • 50g flaked almonds 

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Place the oats, nuts, cinnamon, drained dates, nut butter and coconut oil into your Ninja Kitchen food processor and pulse well until the mixture comes together.

  • Step 2

    Save aside a little for the topping. Press the rest into a greased 20cm fluted loose bottom tin, across the bottom and around the sides. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180C then cool and set aside.

  • Step 3

    Fill the tart case with the apples and mincemeat. Mix together the remaining mixture with flaked almonds and sprinkle over. Either serve or chill in the fridge first – remove from the tin and slice up.
