Grilled Chicken

Cooking mode

1st marinade

  • 1 tbsp crushed ginger
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder (This is a mild chilli powder so if substituting with any other chilli powder, reduce the quantity)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt

2nd marinade

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 300g greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder (or 3/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Other ingredients

  • 1kg chicken divided into 4 large pieces (Skin off), with a few slashes on top

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Insert grill plate into unit, brush with oil and and close lid. 

  • Step 2

    Preheat air fryer to 200 C. 

  • Step 3

    Add the chicken to a large bowl and add the ingredients for the first marinade. Marinade for 30 minutes. 

  • Step 4

    Add the ingredients for the second marinade and marinade for 30 minutes to 2 hours. 

  • Step 5

    Set timer for 20 minutes. 

  • Step 6

    Turn on the grill function. Press the start button.

  • Step 7

    Add chicken and spray with cooking oil. 

  • Step 8

    Cook for 20 minutes, turning midway. 

  • Step 9

    Check if cooked through before serving.
