Caramelised Onions
These delicious slow-cooked onions are great with sausages or as a topping on a cheese toastie or burger.

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 red onions, peeled, sliced
- 1 tbsp soft brown sugar
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- Splash of water

Step 1
Heat the Ninja 20cm frying pan on low heat, add oil and allow to preheat for 2-3 minutes until hot. When the pan is heated, add onions and cook for about 50 minutes. Stir the onions frequently until they are soft (they shouldn’t be too brown).

Step 2
When the onions are soft, stir in sugar and vinegar with a splash of water. Cook for another 5 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
