Easy Bliss Balls made with Leftover Cake

Easy to make using leftover ingredients from the cake that we made and was not eaten.

Cooking mode

  • 300g leftover cake, like sponge cake or tea, oat biscuits
  • 100g crackers
  • 100g jam
  • 50g chocolate spread
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 bar dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup grated nuts hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, pistachios the one you like the most
  • 3 tbsp coconut milk or double cream
  • 100ml rum optional, you can replace it with coffee or milk
  • 1/2 cup dried sour cherries
  • 1/2 cup cranberries
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • Pinch of salt
  • coconut flakes or crushed nuts to coat
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Utensils

  • Step 1

    Soak the raisins and cranberries in the rum for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl – crush the cake, crackers and biscuits. Leave some biscuits to have larger pieces.

  • Step 3

    Melt chocolate with butter.

  • Step 4

    Add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor bowl with the dough blade. Cranberry and raisins add together with rum. Mix everything well.

  • Step 5

    Form identical balls from the prepared mass using a small ice scoop, and then coat them in coconut flakes.

  • Step 6

    Once ready, place the balls in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour to cool.
