White Bean Pate

Cooking mode

  • 2 cans butter beans
  • 3 shallots
  • fresh thyme, oregano and parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 5 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper

Utensils

  • Step 1

    On a heated pan add the oil, chopped shallots and fry them until golden brown.

  • Step 2

    Once they’re golden brown, add the garlic (pressed). Mix well and take off from the heat. Set aside to cool down.

  • Step 3

    Drain the beans and add them to the food processor bowl. Add the lemon juice and blend until you get the paste consistency. If your paste is too dry add 2 tbsp of water.

  • Step 4

    Add all the other ingredients, fried shallots and chopped herbs to the food processor.

  • Step 5

    Mix well until everything is well combined.

  • Step 6

    If you wish add more salt and pepper or other favourite spices.
